Fleet managers with an ‘Organisation Admi’ permission can delete units counting towards their subscription fees. The option is found under Unit Settings.
Go to Unit Settings in Stormcloud
Hit the Delete button
This will render the unit inaccessible and it will no longer count towards your subscription fees. Our Customer Success team will only be able to retrieve any data if it has not already been purged from our system.
Once a unit is deleted, it will still be shown in your portfolio in grey until it is purged from our system, useful for times you need to audit your system so you have a history of recently deleted units.
Can I delete a pending unit?
Yes, but it is possible one of the droplets hasn’t been updated with the latest change. It is possible the droplet may come online and start sending data to Stormcloud in the future, but it will be ignored.
How long is a deleted unit still recoverable?
We make no guarantees on how long data will be retained after a unit is deleted. We recommend contacting our Customer Success team within a week at least if a unit was accidentally deleted.
