This guide walks you through creating a new Stormcloud account, setting your password, and signing in for the first time.
Step 1 — Request an account
To get started, you will need to request a Stormcloud account. You can do this in two ways:
Option A: Via the web
Visit the account request page directly:
https://pwa.switchdin.com/account/request-account
Enter your email address and submit the form. This email will become your Stormcloud username.
Option B: Via the mobile app
Download and install the Stormcloud app from Google Play or the Apple App Store (search "Stormcloud by SwitchDin").
Open the app and tap Create Account. Enter your email address and tap Create Account to submit.
Step 2 — Check your email
You will receive a verification email within a few minutes. Open it and click the link provided.
If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.
Step 3 — Set your password
After clicking the verification link, you will be prompted to create a password.
Your password must contain:
- At least 12 characters
- At least 1 uppercase letter
- At least 1 lowercase letter
- At least 1 number
- At least 1 special character
Your password must not include your name.
If any of these conditions are not met, the form will display an error. Adjust your password and try again.
Step 4 — Sign in
Once your password is set, you can sign in to Stormcloud via:
- Web app: https://pwa.switchdin.com
- Mobile app: Open the Stormcloud app and enter your email and password
If you see an "access not authorised" message
Your account may need to be granted permissions before you can access site data. This is common for installer accounts that require SwitchDin accreditation.
