Sites with PV generation greater than 30.01kW must follow a specific commissioning process coordinated with Horizon Power and SwitchDin.
Context
In this scenario, all the inverters must talk to a single controller/Protection Relay/PLC.
This device controls all the inverters and acts as an aggregator, providing a single point of control to the SGD.
Private/Secured Networks
For Horizon Power sites using the FIM controller with private or secure networks, please inform us ahead of the scheduled installation date.
This allows us to coordinate with the site's IT department to discuss any network requirements or potential restrictions.
Be prepared to liaise with the site’s IT department if needed, especially if any specific routing or firewall configurations are required to bring the droplet online when working with the FIM controller. If the site uses a secure network, please help coordinate a meeting or email exchange between us and the IT department to ensure a smooth setup.
Bring Additional Equipment
For added security and redundancy, ensure you bring an extra Ethernet-to-USB adapter. This will help resolve any potential connectivity issues on-site.
FIM Controller connection
The SGD will need to be loaded with the HP FIM controller map by adding the “Oztron Controller”.
To connect the FIM controller follow one of the below diagrams.
Once the connection is made, please follow these steps to add the FIM controller to the SGD
- Go to Equipmet then click on Add device
- Click on Manual Device Discovery
- Search and click on FIM in the device list
- Input the IP and Port number of the FIM Then click find
If your connections, setup, and the input are correct then the FIM will be discovered
