There are 3 main alert categories:
- Droplet Offline when the Droplet loses Internet connectivity with SwitchDin cloud.
- Device Disconnected if any device in the unit gets disconnected (meter, inverter, battery).
- Custom triggers alert based on a combination of criteria.
Alerts can be muted for a user at Unit, Portfolio or User Profile levels.
What happens if no alert is set?
All units have a Droplet Offline alert triggered if the Droplet has lost Internet connection to our Stormcloud for 24h. This alert is only deactivated if a new Droplet Offline alert is created for the unit and will come back if the latter is deleted.
Go to Alerts in the footer menu of the Now tab then select 'Definitions' and hit 'Create':
Select a ready-made alert (Droplet is offline, Device is Disconnected) or build your custom notification.
Select the type (Warning, info, debug)
What is an example of a very most common alert to set up?
A common custom alert could be to trigger an alert if the battery SoC is below 20% for more than 10 minutes.
Here is a screenshot to set it up:
