The process for DNSP (Distribution Network Service Provider) registration and certificate issuance involves several steps:
1. Contract and Purchase Order: Registration begins upon receipt of a signed contract and purchase order.
2. Profile Creation: SwitchDin creates DNSP profiles within Certificate Request forms and the PKI Document Repository, including valid/invalid certificate reports and a certified list of OEMs.
3. User Authorisation: SwitchDin authorises DNSP users to access the PKI Document Repository.
4. Portal Registration: DNSP authorised users register to the support portal and the document repository.
5. DNSP MICA Setup: SwitchDin prepares MICA Naming Documents for DNSP review and approval. MICA setup involves a physical key signing ceremony, requiring forms to be submitted 10 days in advance.
6. Utility Server Certificate Request: DNSPs initiate requests for Utility Server Certificates (for both test and production environments), with production requests expected after successful testing.
7. Certificate Recording: SwitchDin records all created certificates in the relevant DNSP Certificate Tracker.
8. Validation and Closure: DNSPs are responsible for timely testing of certificates and connectivity to close out support tickets
